The Merging of Mirrors

My dear, we are meant to merge
I am the light and you the dark
Although in truth I am the dark one
The one that hides from this world
You are the light
The world, my world
Together we are a divine union
I transcend to you as you ascend to me
The conscious and unconscious
Fire and water
The earth and the heavens
Spirit and body
Angels and ghosts
Death and birth
We are opposite yet identical
Two extremes of the same substance
Only varying in degrees at times
Constantly shifting into one another
Until you don’t know if you’re looking at each other or ourselves
The universe itself and everything it holds.
